The Argentine story is an inspiring one. Even though he suffered a growth hormone disorder while growing up, he remained unperturbed and pursued his football dream. Messi was just four feet and two inches tall at age 10, making him unfit for the football career he wanted to pursue.

Fortunately, Barcelona showed interest in Messi and decided to help him get a growth hormone treatment even though Messi’s father was already spending heavily to get this done.  This led to Messi signing a contract with the club until the club announced his departure in 2021, citing dwindling revenues due to the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, it is effortless to prove that the 34-year-old had a good spell at Barcelona F.C. While at Barcelona F.C, Messi’s incredible playing style and the input of fellow teammates like Xavi, Iniesta, and other exceptional players allowed him to achieve a lot for the club.

With 474 goals and 193 assists in 519 matches for Barcelona, Messi did not only prove he is one of the best terrific goalscorers to ever play for the club but also a reliable goal maker. He is one of the best dribblers football lovers have seen in recent years. He is also good at taking free-kicks and playing more through balls, a quality you rarely see in his rivals.

Aside from his numerous individual achievements, Messi won many trophies for Barcelona, including 4 Champion league and 10 La Liga titles.
